Programs of study provide integrated and sequential courses leading to high school graduation endorsements as well as end of course industry-recognized certificates/licenses. Elementary and middle school students also have the chance to participate in James Reese Career and Technical Center CTE programs district wide.
Students also have the chance to participate in national student organizations like SkillsUSA, HOSA, DECA and Future Business Leaders of America. Enterprise Learning Labs provide real-world experience while benefitting both the school community and student body alike.
Whole Child Health Initiative
Students benefit from having their physical, emotional, and social health needs fulfilled; therefore, the district provides programs to address all three.
As part of its mental health services, the district has opened eight wellness clinics for staff and students alike. These clinics provide Tier One behavioral support while those needing more intense counseling may qualify for Tier Two or Tier Three services; all clinic services are free for individuals with Medicaid or private insurance policies.
Our district works closely with local health departments to analyze data trends within and beyond its school community in order to reduce COVID-19’s spread, by reviewing safety needs such as increasing space between students and utilizing best practice sanitization methods like those found in hospitals to clean high traffic areas. Furthermore, the district offers training to campus COVID-19 teams and department leaders on contact tracing processes and procedures.
Student Recruitment
Strategically, student recruitment is integral to increasing excellence and diversity within an institution’s student body, while tactically it strengthens funding streams for universities.
An effective recruitment plan is key to making your recruiting efforts more successful and cost-efficient. It will allow you to identify where resources are most required while setting clear goals, strategies, and tactics for recruitment efforts.
Student recruiters require strong written communication skills in order to effectively create brochures, pamphlets and booth banners for events. Furthermore, they must understand how to craft convincing video presentations and speeches about an academic institution’s courses or programs in order to attract potential students.
Host physical or virtual open house events to attract students to your university and allow them to experience life there first hand. Collect contact details of those interested so you can follow up later with them using messaging tools like CallHub – Gen Z expects job hopping so it is crucial that prospective students see how a university will help build their career path.
Extended Day Program
The Extended Day Program provides a safe and educational setting for students before and after school, according to a monthly theme. Our curriculum features homework time, books, games, unstructured play time and unstructured play. Furthermore, each campus also hosts clubs twice weekly (though availability varies according to campus).
The district’s mission is to inspire and equip students for futures beyond what they could imagine, with Extended Day Program providing students with all of the support necessary to successfully continue their education. Furthermore, through its Whole Child Health Initiative the district strives to support the academic, behavioral, social and emotional needs of its students.
